Breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night after-party meal, French Toast should be in your cooking repertoire. An easy-to-assemble custard, fragrant with cinnamon and vanilla, works best with thick slices of brioche or challah but Lynne tells us, in a pinch, sandwich bread will do just fine. Top with pure maple syrup, fresh berries, and you're done. Simple yet very satisfying. That's French Toast.
