About Chris Keating

Chis is a chemist and distiller and has a particular passionate for absinthe - demystifying its myths, drinking it and even making it. He has tested absinthe in many cocktails and has shared his Absinthe Cocktail with us which, from what we remember, is a keeper!

Recipe

Ingredients

  • ice
  • a generous amount of Absinthe
  • splash of simple syrup
  • a little Jamaican grapefruit soda
  • a few squeezes of fresh lime

How-to

  1. Fill glass part-way with ice
  2. Add a generous amount of Absinthe and a couple ounces of simple syrup
  3. Fill remainder of glass with Jamaican grapefruit soda
  4. Finish off with a few squirts of fresh lime juice
  5. Stir and enjoy!

The most popular Jamaican Grapefruit soda is Ting Soda, found at your local supermarket.
