Dessert & Baked Goods » Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
Maria Stathoulis is a very calm and patient person. But even if you're not, her technique for making these beautifully decorated chocolate-dipped strawberries will convince you that you too can get into the zone of creative decorating. Experiment with different color combinations, use a simple plastic bag instead of a pastry bag, and the sky's the limit for how far your artistic flair will take you.
Ingredients
- strawberries
- different colors of candy melts (wafers)
How-to
- Melt candies (chocolate) over double boiler, or in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring every time
- Dip strawberries into chocolate, and use the side of the bowl to scrape off excess chocolate
- Place on wax paper until dry (just a minute) for drizzle
- Pour melted chocolate into a plastic bag, snip off a tiny corner, and with a steady back and forth motion, drizzle over the top of the strawberries
- Let dry and refrigerate if not being eaten right away
