Recommended Cocktail Glass: Highball
For the Ginger Beer
- 3" piece fresh ginger (or a couple of knobs; enough when juiced to yield 1 oz ginger juice)
- 2 oz simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
- 2½ oz fresh lemon juice, finely strained
- 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 8 oz cold water
- single charge of CO2
For the Brock & Stormy Cocktail
- 1½ oz spiced rum (Sailor Jerry)
- ¾ oz Benedictine liqueur
- ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
- 2-3 dashes Angostura or Bittermens Tiki Bitters*
Special Equipment
- juicer
- ½-1 liter soda siphon, chilled
- CO2 canister
*Bittermens Tiki Bitters is not yet commercially available as of February 2009
