Having grown up surrounded by food fresh from the garden and his grandfather's farm, Joe Brenner learned the basics of preparing fresh food from spending time in the kitchen with his grandmother and aunts. After graduating from the University of Southern New Hampshire with a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Brenner knew his passion was in the kitchen, and decided to work his way up from the bottom, learning everything he could about becoming a chef. At Figs restaurant at 29 Fair on Nantucket, and Olives, he shares Chef English's passion for the color and varieties of food and has traveled the world researching the foods of different cultures.
