Born just south of Boston, Walter Gowey lives with his wife, Barbara Dietrich, on their farm in Central Massachusetts, raising chickens, sheep, llamas and turkeys. After over 30 years of teaching high school math, Walter now spends his time tending to the farm's orchard and livestock, as well as sailing on the Cape during the summer.
