David Yee of China Blossom mixes up a personal-sized scorpion bowl cocktail that includes rum, brandy, fruit juices, & orgeat (sweet almond syrup -- pronounced "or-zat"). The recipe is easily doubled or tripled for sharing. Don't get your coconut bra in a bunch -- of course there's an umbrella to top it all off! Cheers!
Ingredients
- ice to fill shaker
- ½ oz orgeat (sweet almond) syrup
- 1 oz brandy
- 2 oz light rum
- 1½ oz sour mix
- 2 oz orange juice
Suggested Garnishes
- maraschino cherries
- pineapple slices
- tiki umbrellas
How-to
- Fill mixing glass with ice
- Add ingredients
- Cap and shake vigorously
- Pour into large, deep coupe or tiki glass
- Garnish if desired
