Ice Fishing <p> Share a beautiful day on Lake Rico in East Taunton, MA, with <a href="http://how2heroes.com/videos/profiles/about-dick">Dick and Sue Viera</a>&nbsp;for catch-and-release ice fishing. These recreational fishermen demonstrate their process of drilling through&nbsp;layers of ice, baiting and setting traps, cooking&nbsp;on a hockey-puck supported grill, and&nbsp;waiting patiently&nbsp;for flags to wave, signaling a catch. Perch and pickerel&nbsp;showed up for the filming that day and we were as excited as Dick and Sue to run&nbsp;like&nbsp;crazy&nbsp;when&nbsp;anyone yelled&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong><em>&quot;FLAG!&quot;</em></strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Dick & Sue Viera

Dick and Sue Viera are avid recreational fishermen. When we say avid, we're not kidding. They go quahogging on Cape Cod year-round. Yes, that includes the winter. But we're not complaining because we get to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Dick is the real deal - a little rough around the edges but warm as a summer day inside. Sue will bait a hook, filet a fish or band lobster claws like a pro. Any time spent by an ocean, lake, stream, any type of water, together, is their idea of heaven.

    Really interesting! I had no idea of all those steps in the actual fishing. And I love the sentiment of shared enjoyment, including running after the newly released flags, and even grilling some treats while you wait, that bring to the experience another level of richness. Very cool.

    I could never understand how those two could spend hours out there on the ice. But having been on this shoot, I totally get it!
