Dan Lane of The Biltmore Bar & Grille slowly simmers Granny Smith apples, cloves, apple cider vinegar and brown sugar. Apple butter does not traditionally contain butter but gets its name from its thick, butter-like consistency. In this version, Dan adds a touch of butter for a rich finish.
