About Matthew Maue <p>Buffalo NY native, Matthew Maue began working in kitchens at 15. After meeting chef and restaurateur Tai Throung, he realized his love and passion for food and went to work at Buffalo’s acclaimed Papaya Restaurant, eventually becoming Sous Chef and Chef Tais’ right hand-man. After achieving success at Papaya, Matt headed to Atlanta, focusing on modern American and Mediterranean cuisine. He was recruited by Blue Shore Grill Restaurant Group and Executive Chef Richard Garcia to move to the US Virgin Islands for the position of Sushi Chef at Lotus Asian Grill. Chef Garcia was so impressed that Matt was presented the opportunity to return to the States with Garcia, this time as Chef De Cuisine of <a href="http://www.tastingswinebarandbistro.com/food/index.php">Tastings Wine Bar &amp; Bistro</a>.</p>
