About Mary Dumont <p>Born and raised in New Hampshire, Mary Dumont grew up in a family of restaurateurs. After a slight detour as a literature major at Simmons College, Mary spent 10 years in San Francisco, which solidified her passion for cooking.  After returning to the East Coast, she headed back to New Hampshire, working at The Dunaway in Portsmouth, where she was honored with Food &amp; Wine Magazine's "Best New Chef" of 2006. In 2007, Mary became the executive chef at <a href="http://www.harvestcambridge.com/about">Harvest</a> in Harvard Square, Cambridge. Mary's respect for local farmers and fishermen is evident in her dishes at Harvest where she offers New England cuisine with French inspirations. And she grows her own herbs in her kitchen garden! As well, Mary's competitive spirit can be seen in episodes of Iron Chef America 2006 and Season 3 of The Next Iron Chef.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
