Jeff Gavornik is a modern Renaissance Man: a neuroscientist, former NASA engineer, sausage maker, cookie baker, with a penchant for tacos [on corn tortillas, please]. He appreciates authentic Mexican food in all its glorious forms and frequently incorporates Latin techniques and flavors into the many other culinary traditions in his repertoire. His favorite cooking vessels are smokers, pressure cookers and cast-iron skillets and his favorite kitchen companion is his beautiful wife and fellow how2heroes home cook Maria Collins.
