Barkin' Beef Biscuits

Makes 24-36 treats (depending on size)


  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • ¾ cup cornmeal
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 beef boullion cubes in 2 cups boiling water
  • flour to coat work surface


  1. Preheat oven to 300º
  2. Mix flours, cornmeal and oil together in a bowl
  3. Dissolve bouillon in boiling water, add mixture to other ingredients and mix thoroughly (the dough may look dense and sticky)
  4. If desired at this point, you can add bacon bits, bacon drippings, shredded carrot, peanut butter, or dog’s favorite flavors
  5. Transfer onto a floured surface and roll to ¼" thick. Cut into desired shapes and transfer onto cookie sheet
  6. Bake for 30-45 minutes until golden brown and crisp
  7. Serve for good behavior
