• 3 apples (Granny Smith suggested), peeled or unpeeled & chopped
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ½ cup almonds
  • 1½ tbsp cinnamon
  • 1½ tbsp Manischewitz wine
  • ½ cup raisins (optional)


  1. Add nuts to a food processor and pulse to half their size
  2. Add apples, cinnamon and wine.  Scrape down sides of bowl at least once to make sure apples are incorporated and pulse to a chunky paste
  3. Fold in raisins if using
  4. Serve with crackers (Ellie recommends graham crackers) and enjoy!
