Spicy Honey Wings

BBQ Sauce & Brine will make enough for about 40 Jumbo Party Wings



  • Approximately 40 jumbo chicken wings


  • ½ gallon cold water
  • ½ cup salt
  • ½ cup sugar

BBQ Sauce

  • 2 cups favorite store-bought BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup hot sauce
  • 2 oz honey
  • 2 oz mustard
  • 2 tbsp crushed chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp sriracha hot chili sauce


Brine Wings

  1. Combine water, salt and sugar and mix well
  2. Wash wings in cold water
  3. Submerge in brine overnight

Make BBQ Sauce

  1. Mix all BBQ Sauce ingredients well and refrigerate one day before use
  2. Remove sauce from refrigerator a few hours before cooking the wings so that sauce is room temperature

Cook Wings

  1. Preheat oven to 400º
  2. Remove wings from brine, place on a sheet pan lined with paper towels and pat dry
  3. Place wings on a separate sheet pan with a lip 
  4. Lightly season with salt, pepper, and paprika (or use your favorite dry rub)
  5. Bake wing for 20 minutes
  6. Remove wings from oven and flip onto other side and bake for an additional 20 minutes.  (Ovens vary in cooking time; internal temperature of wings should be at least 170º)
  7. Transfer wings onto a serving pan, pour BBQ sauce onto them and mix until wings are evenly coated
