Apple Crisp

Ingredients
Filling
- 5 cups apples all-purpose apples, peeled, cored &sliced
- 2 tsp flour
- ½ cup white sugar
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ cup water
Topping
- ½ cup oats
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ⅓ cup butter, softened and cut into pads
- ⅛ tsp baking powder
- ⅛ tsp baking soda
Special Equipment
- 8" x 8" baking pan
How-to
- Preheat oven to 350°
- In a food processor blend the topping ingredients minus the butter, then add butter and pulse until crumbles forms
- In a bowl, mix apples, flour, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and water
- Spread apple filling into greased 8x8” pan and cover with topping
- Bake for 40 minutes or until topping browns
