  • 515 grams filtered water or spring water
  • ice cubes to serve

How-to

For Automatic Drip Brewing

  1. Have all of your ingredients ready and weighed
  2. Rinse your coffee filter with hot water (away from the brewer - do not allow the water from the paper filter to drip into the pot)
  3. Add your pre-weighed grinds to the filter. Even out the grounds so that they are flat
  4. Assure that your pre-weighed ice is situated inside the brew pot, and your water is in the receptacle
  5. Press start button to brew, and allow the hot coffee to melt and diltute to the perfect strength over the ice. If your coffee maker has the option to turn off the pot warmer, it is preferable to turn this off. If this is not an option, remove the pot from the warmer as soon as the brewing has completed
  6. Pour over ice and enjoy immediately

Manual Drip Brewing (or, Iced Coffee-Specific Manual Brewers)

  1. Have all of your ingredients ready and weighed
  2. Rinse your coffee filter with hot water (away from the brewer - do not allow the water from the paper filter to drip into the pot)
  3. Add your pre-weighed grinds to the filter. Even out the grounds and make a slight indent in the center with your finger
  4. Assure that your pre-weighed ice is situated underneath the filter in a receptacle (or the ice-specific insert included in manual iced coffee brewers)
  5. Pour some of the weighed hot water (between 201º - 205º) over the grinds in a circular motion to allow them to bubble up and "bloom"
  6. Wait about 30 seconds before continuing pouring the remaining hot water over the grinds (again, in a circular motion, towards the center of the bloom). As you pour, do so slowly and do not allow the bloom to rise above the level of the grounds around the outter edge. Allow hot coffee to melt over the ice to dilute it to the perfect strength
  7. Pour over ice and enjoy immediately
