• 2-¾ oz bourbon or rye whiskey
  • ¾ oz sweet vermouth
  • a few dashes Angostura bitters
  • Maraschino cherry to garnish


  1. Fill a pint glass with ice
  2. Add the bourbon or whiskey, the vermouth and the bitters
  3. Stir the drink gently so the ice doesn't break up in the drink but stir well so the drink is nice and cold
  4. Strain the drink into a chilled martini glass
  5. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry
