  • charcoal briquettes
  • lighter fluid
  • long matches

How-to

  1. Stack up charcoal briquettes in a pyramid shape
  2. Coat briquettes evenly with lighter fluid.
  3. Use long matches to light and make sure to try to light bricks evenly
  4. Wait about 20 minutes for bricks to ash over
  5. Use tongs or a long stick to spread out coals evenly
  6. Clean grate and place on top of grill
