According to Farmer Michael at Smolak Farms, strawberries were originally called strewn berries due to the fact that they were strewn all over the ground.

Take this trivia fact and this newsletter with you to the register at Smolak Farms in Andover, MA and receive 25% off Roberta's homemade Strawberry-Rhubarb Crisp.

how2heroes goes to market

We just kicked off our Lunchtime How-to Cooking Series at the Cambridge Center Farmer's Market. Each week, a different chef or cook will be showing you how to bring your farm fresh ingredients to the table. Yesterday, Chef Jeff Tenner from Legal Sea Foods demonstrated a lovely Asparagus, Farm Fresh Egg, Arugula & Poached Salmon dish.

If you missed it, check out our blog for the video and recipe. For a preview of upcoming chefs, click here.
